![]() My own beliefs on what I don't consider competitive. Streamers now don't even talk about it because they get blasted if they talk negatively about aim assist, so they slowly move towards different titles, including Valorant. Streamers suggested changing aim assist to Respawn, but they wouldn't listen, here we are. ![]() Valorant became popular because most mouse & keyboard players knew it wouldn't cater to the aim assist community, so they invested their time into it. Respawn tried to do competitive Apex legends, it's called Arenas. How can anyone be competitive on something that is randomly generated? It's like the same thing with PUBG, it can't ever be competitive because it's based on RNG. In my opinion, a true competitive title wouldn't have that as the core gameplay, but would be more like team A vs team B or so on.ĭOTA 2, LOL, CS: GO, Valorant, Tom Clancy's Siege, Overwatch (does have different size heros, but not random). Two teams of equal skill and/ or practice competing against one another.Īpex Legends doesn't do that, it's more based on who can wait the longest and shoot the last person/s. It has competitive elements, but it's still based around RNG, Legends of different stature and/ or so varying randomness that it would be quite hard to predict the outcome.Ī competitive title in my opinion wouldn't be about randomness, but about known paths and/ or elements that one must learn and continue to get better at. (access with M) Settings automatically saved. Options for size, amount, delay, and duration of targets. No, Apex Legends is a good business venture for EA being very successful, but no it's not a real competitive video game title. Get in the zone fast with FPS Aim Training, and warm up for a competitive match of the most intense FPS games out there. 240 FPS, all low settings and a controller is the easiest gameplay you can get in Apex Legends. Controller isn't that good at looting, but boy you better watch out in close quarters range. This argument that mouse & keyboard user's have the "ability to do more" isn't a good justification to give all controller users always running software, because then all the controller users wouldn't be using, you know, a controller.Īpex Legends controller users are starting to outnumber mouse & keyboard players on PC.Ī controller with aim assist is one thing, but when you know how to take advantage of it is another. ![]() There is a difference when trying to enjoy video games with friends and/ or using a controller against players, even those who don't have the assistance. I have personally played controller for 20+ years, I know what aim assist is. Yet those controller players didn't quit playing those games. Apex Legends isn't that precise of a first person shooter, it's more movement based, yet games like Tom Clancy's Siege, PUBG (console and PC), Overwatch (PC lobbies) do not offer aim assistance for controller users even while against mouse & keyboard users (PUBG doesn't even have aim assist on consoles).
